Auron Most of Auron is dominated by deserts which are collectively known as the sands. It's bordered to the north by Fosinos, bordered on the northwest by Te'tunga, and bordered to the west by Gitouvas. It's eastern and southern borders are coastlines. Auron is considered highly dangerous not just because of it's creatures and environmental hazards, but because it has a high number of criminals, as well. It's eastern shores lie on the far edges of the most barren parts of the sands and are equally barren. This shoreline is known as the coast of new dawns. There is a single, small port town that sits near the northern edge of this beach, near the border between Auron and Fosinos. A single river flows through Auron, which has it's origins in Te'tunga, to the far northwest. It meanders down through the entirety of the nation, to it's far southern border, where it forms a large bay as it meets the ocean. This river and bay area have seasonal floods, and it is for this reason that the bay has been named Telmira's bay. It's fertile shores have thick foliage and many small farms. On the coast of this bay, spread across both sides of the river, is Auron's capital city, Oratus. This city is split into two halves, with the wealthier portion of the city having stone buildings and deep canals, while the other, more impoverished portion is made up of wooden bridges and shanties. The royal family rules from a mansion in the heart of the wealthy side of the city. Running along the western border of Auron is a mountain range which contains not one, not two, but three active volcanoes. These volcanic mountains are known as ashridge mountains. Very few people live anywhere near this area, but there are several shrines to Pyranna set up along the base. Incendium wyverns are known to frequent this area. |
