Te'tunga Known as a wild and highly dangerous land, Te'tunga has few roads and no well-known towns or cities. The bulk of it is made up of dense jungles full of all sorts of deadly plants and creatures. Jagged cliffs break up the landscape, making it all the more difficult to traverse. This area is known as the wildlands. Scattered throughout these lands are small encampments of bandits and pirates, who use this area as an escape from authorities, as there is no true ruler of Te'tunga and therefore no laws. That being said, there are several individuals who claim to rule Te'tunga, two of which are Bhalric Briar, the leader of the Silver Feather Pirates, and Nightclaw, the leader of the Blackblades. To the far southwest is a steep cliff that drops off into the ocean, not but a few miles from the phantom spires. This cliff is home to a large cave system, and though it has many entrances, the largest is at the bottom of the cliff. Partially underwater, this entrance is the perfect place for pirate ships to hideaway or seek shelter from the all-too-common storms that batter this cliffside. It's because of these very storms that this coastal cliff is known as stormreach. Near the northern and western coast of Te'tunga lies a deep canyon with fast-flowing rivers coursing through it, which is known as serpentine canyon. This canyon is known to be inhabited by many oreiva serpents, the cave-like homes of which can be found in nearly every canyon wall. The northern and western coasts of Te'tunga are littered with isles of all shapes and sizes. Collectively, these are called the shattered isles. The largest of these isles is home to the ruins of Ru'etta. Once a large, prosperous city, all that is left of Ru'etta now are mossy stone paths and some broken, overgrown stone walls. Though what happened to this city and all it's inhabitants is unknown, it's believed that the people of Ru'etta once believed themselves better than the gods or perhaps insulted them in some way, leading to their near-instantaneous demise. At night a dense fog rolls in over the ruins, and it's rumored that this fog may cause any who are caught in it to become confused or even drive them to madness. |
