The Letter | The Godking's Event

The Story

You have recently come into possession of a letter bearing the sigil of the Council of Kings. This letter claims that you have been invited to some sort of event; a competition in which one can win a single wish from the Godking himself. This letter does not mention you by name, and you've seen others with the exact same letter.

Will you answer the call and travel to the place mentioned in the letter?

To whom it may concern:

Greetings. This is a formal invitation to the event of a lifetime. We, the Council of Kings, have organized this event at the behest of our immortal Godking, Theatis. Our mighty King of Kings requests for your participation in this event, wherein you will compete with other participants in various challenges.

These challenges have been divided into five tiers, starting with the first tier and ending with tier five. We, the Council of Kings, will oversee tiers one, two, and three; but upon completion of tier three, all further tiers will be personally overseen by our Godking, Theatis, himself.

The prize awaiting any brave participant who successfully completes all the challenges is an audience with the Godking, wherein He will fulfill any one wish the victor requests of Him.

To participate in the event, all one must do is travel to the Radiant Chapel, found in the southeastern half of the City of Lior, in the kingdom of Fosinos. Once there, show this invitation to the members of the Knights of Lior found there. They will inform you of where the first tier of challenges are to take place. You will be provided with food and shelter outside of any challenges, and the Theaturges will keep you informed on the state of the event or any changes to the challenges throughout the entirety of the event.

Be warned: this event is not for the faint of heart. Some may perish taking on the various challenges of this event. It is highly recommended that all participants prepare themselves as they see fit and be sure to get all their affairs in order before partaking in the event. Keep in mind that you may withdraw at any point during the first three tiers.

The one rule of this event is this: There will be no infighting of participants outside of the challenges.

The event begins at sunrise in exactly three week's time, on the second day of the Festival of Theatis. We hope to see many new faces in the Radiant Chapel by that time.

How do I upload my character sheet? I'm not allowed to start threads and there is no open thread on the gameplay board for me to post to. Will you start that when we are ready or am I missing something?

You upload your character sheet by starting a thread in the character profiles section and adding the file as an attachment to the new thread.

Also, there's an optional prologue to the story of the game. After you post your character profile I'll start the thread in The Game section. You can decide beforehand if you want to do the prologue or not.

The prologue is largely just designed to help you get used to how the game is run and teach you the mechanics, but it can also give you an edge in the game later on and might even introduce you to some hidden characters... maybe.
