One of the most commonly worshipped deities other than Theatis himself, it's believed that the Matriarch can help relationships last and bring good health to a couple's offspring. Some say she also brings fire and destruction to those who betray their loved ones. It's commonly believed that she was the one who gave incendium wyverns, nympha serpents, and arcana dragons the ability to transform into humanoid shape and have children with commonfolk. Incendium wyverns are said to be her favorite of all living things, which is why it's said that she gave them their flamecores so that they could have control over her element. Some believe that she occasionally takes the form of a beautiful red-haired woman who offers emberlilies to young couples, and that those who accept these emberlilies will find that the flowers never die so long as they are loyal to each other. Others say that she takes the form of a massive, glimmering red incendium wyvern that takes in and raises orphaned wyverns and dragonkin. She is often worshipped by giving a ring to a loved one, keeping emberlilies in the home or garden, and by leaving a gold coin at the foot of a volcano. Cathedrals have been built in her honor within some towns or cities and have stain-glass depictions of wyverns holding emberlilies. Some offer gold coins or rings to these cathedrals in hopes of gaining Pyranna's favor.
