God of Mysteries and Magic

Though widely known and worshipped by those who seek to learn and understand magic, Zalikos is by far the most enigmatic of all the deities; Even when compared to Arvyros. More mortals at least know one sure-fire way to get the attention of Arvyros, which is more than can be said for Zalikos. He seemingly chooses mortals to interact with at random. Those who have seen him say that he does not speak aloud, but within their minds using their own voices, meaning no one has truly heard what his voice sounds like. Some say he gives visions of certain locations that may even be set in the distant past or future to those who he favors. However, it's also said that he can take knowledge or memories away from an individual. Many fear Zalikos, and in doing so also fear magic itself, as some say he's Theatis' enemy or rival; a god that was never meant to influence their world. Others say he has a relationship with Niskia and sometimes allows his magic to be corrupted by her, making it not only dangerous for those who use it, but also those around them. Of course, none of this is known for sure. Not even his gifts, such as the ability to see the magical runes that exist everywhere, are widely understood. The ruinne, who are born with the ability to see these runes, and were said to have been created by Zalikos himself, have so far been unable to unravel the secrets of who or what Zalikos really is and what he stands for.
