Dwarven Race Bonus: +2 levels to Strength Ability: Innovator Appearance Typically much shorter and more buff than commonfolk, though they share a lot of the same physical traits. Few ever get taller than four feet in height. Like commonfolk, they tend to be earthy colors, though they can very rarely be born with gray skin or hair. History & Culture Dwarven are said to be one of the three humanoid races that Theatis created. They are strong and highly innovative, but they've never worked well alongside the other races. They've been a largely withdrawn race ever since the very beginning, keeping to themselves and building their towns and cities in places where they were unlikely to ever be found. With their creative minds they've invented engines and harnessed the power of electricity. Their massive cities of stone, often hidden away deep beneath the surface or within mountains, are lit with electric lanterns and have trams to get around faster. However, they are most well-known for their airships. One of the few inventions they sell to outsiders, these airships are massive, boat-like vessels that can soar through the sky with balloons and artificial wings. Dwarven, themselves, rarely have need for these ships, as they can't be flown around their cities. While they aren't overtly prejudice, dwarven tend to be rather wary of outsiders. Few ever leave the town or city they grow up in, so seeing a dwarf outside of a dwarven city tends to be an uncommon sight. |
